Former Coach Gernot Rohr has revealed the real reason why officials of the Nigeria football federation sacked him.
He said that *perhaps* he was sacked because he stood his ground against some officials who want their choice of players selection.
Rohr who was in charge of the Super Eagles before he was sacked on Sunday said he rejected advice from the Officials of NFF.
According to him, “I know Nigerians are passionate about football and everybody want to bring in their advice and opinion but it was too much”,
He also said, “Is true that Everyone has their own favourites and I understand that everybody wants to see some players and we discussed it.

“Perhaps I didn’t follow some of the suggestions and the advice of the officials; that is possible because I wanted to make the choice (selections) with my technical staff and not with people from outside the team”, he added.
