Another girl, Zuwaira Gambo murdered in Kano

“There is another case of one Zuwaira Gambo, 12 years old, who was also murdered,” Ganduje revealed.

Another young life has been ended prematurely in Kano state.
This comes after 5-year-old Hanifa Abubakar was also recently killed in the state.

Hanifa was just 5 while the latest victim is 12-year-old, Zuwaira Gambo.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje made the disclosure at the Government House on Wednesday.

Man Sets His Mother Ablaze In Niger State For Intruding In His Marital Affairs (photos)

“The suspect sprayed the deceased with the PMS in his possession and set her ablaze because she usually intrudes into his marital affairs, thereby suspected her for his wife’s disappearance from home.

The Niger State Police Command has paraded a 39-year-old man, Stephen Jiya, who was arrested for the murder of his mother, Mrs Comfort Jiya, IgbereTV reports.

The deceased, a former Principal of Government Girls’ Secondary School, Sabon Wuse and Maryam Babangida Girls’ Science College, Minna, died after she was set ablaze by Stephen.

Comfort was in her kitchen at her residence in Darusalam Area of Minna, when her son said to be a drug addict, returned from Suleja on Monday December 20, and poured petrol on her before lighting her up.

Unknown gunmen on Thursday, January 6, stormed the Ideato South Police Station, shooting sporadically and threw Improvised Explosive Devices (I.E.D) into the station, NaijaCover Reports.

South African couple caught selling Lion’s head to traditional healer (graphic photos)

Two people who were arrested with a lion’s head in their possession in South Africa earlier this month appeared in the Zeerust Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
According to National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Henry Mamothame, the accused Joseph Modime (59) and Emily Mashaba(54) were granted bail of 1500 rands each (39,000 naira), and the matter was postponed to 16 February 2022 for further investigations.
He added that after verifying their addresses, the court granted them bail under strict conditions.

Doctor and his friend murdered in Abuja – Police

Police begins investigation into alleged killing of doctor, his friend in Abuja
Detectives in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have commenced investigation into the death of a Radiologist, Dr. Obialo Ibe and his friend, who were murdered by unknown assailants in his residence at Games Village area of the FCT Abuja.

According to a source at the Command Headquarters in Garki, Abuja, the police boss, CP Sunday Babaji has set up a team of homicide investigators to unearth those behind the killing.
The victims were reportedly stabbed to death between 8:00a.m. and 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, December 15. According to reports, the house help was suspected to have poisoned the victims before stabbing them to death.

3 persons killed during cult crash in Anambra

Three are feared dead in the Amawbia Community, near Awka, the Anambra State capital.

It was gathered that there has been a series of killings in Awka and enviros for close to two years, and they have been said to be related to tussles by rival cult groups in the state.

According to an eyewitness, The killing was not unconnected to persistent cult crashes in the state Capital.

It happened yesterday afternoon, very close to the house of the National Chairman of All Progressive Grande Alliance (APGA), Mr Victor Oye.

We were coming back from the church when we noticed that there was a problem. When we asked, we were told of the killing. When we moved a little further, we now saw a dead body, but we were told that three people were killed in all.

Some people even said that one of the persons who was killed was a security guard who works with APGA chairman.

A Danish man, Peter Nielsen, accused of killing his Nigerian wife and daughter, yesterday told a Lagos High Court that he realised that his wife and daughter had died before a doctor arrived.
The defendant testified before the court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square, the second time of his cross-examination, which started on November 23.
He was cross-examined by prosecution counsel, Mr Adebayo Haroun, Lagos State Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions

Nielsen was accused of killing his Nigerian wife and singer, Zainab, and their three-and-half-year-old daughter, Petra, on April 5, 2018.

Woman, hospital workers arrested for selling newborns

Police in Ebonyi have arrested a single mother of five, Ndidiamaka Enyinta Emeka, for allegedly selling her newborn for N400,000.
Also arrested were two workers of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching hospital, Chinyere Idam, and Maryjane Inya, for alleged involvement in the sale.

Police spokesperson, Loveth Odah, said in a statement yesterday that the command recovered two babies, a male and female, aged three days and two weeks, from the suspects
She said, “The suspects were arrested on Thursday, 10th December 2021 following a report to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) by a concerned citizen of the area who alleged that one of the suspects, Maryjane, was seen with two newborn babies suspected to have been stolen.

Man arrested for rape and trafficking of 13-year-old girl

Police in southwest Kansas say they have arrested a man in connection to the alleged rape and trafficking of a runaway 13-year-old girl from Texas.

The Liberal Police Department said in a release that the child was located Tuesday in the 1000 block of South Kansas. She’s from Denison, Texas, and was in the presence of a 63-year-old man.
