Insecurity: Gunmen Abduct Wife, Child Of Enugu Commissioner’s Brother

According to NAN , the victims were abducted from their house at the old Eke Market in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of the state on Saturday night, January 1.
A community leader, Chief Godswill Ndukwe, who confirmed the abduction on Sunday, said that security operatives had already begun searching for them to ensure their immediate rescue.

Bandits Attack Kaduna, Kill Traditional Ruler, Residents Flee

The Magajin Garin Idasu in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Malam Magaji Ibrahim, has been shot dead.
He was killed 24 hours after 38 people were murdered across Kaduna, including the LGA.
One of the youth leaders in Rahiya village, Ridwan Abdulhadi, told NAN that over 70 percent of the people in the village, have fled to ‎safer communities in part of Zaria and Giwa town‎.

It‎ was gathered that the deceased was killed when bandits invaded the community on Sunday.

A resident, ‎Sharehu Idasu, said the victim was shot when he came out of his residence, calling for help ‎after the bandits invaded the community.

Insecurity: Bandits kill over 30 people in fresh attack in Kaduna

Nigeria: At least 38 people were killed in a fresh attack in Giwa local government area of Kaduna state.

It was gathered that houses, trucks, and cars were also burnt by the attackers along with agricultural produce at various farms.

The attack happened on Sunday, December 19, 2021.

The Kaduna state commissioner for Internal Security and Home affairs — Samuel Aruwan who confirmed the attack said that the death toll rose from initial 20 to 38.

Insecurity: Bandits abduct mother of Kogi governor’s Chief of staff

Bandits have kidnapped the mother of the Chief of staff to the Kogi State Governor, Jamiu Asuku.

She was kidnapped on Monday evening from her residence in Adavi local government area of Kogi State.

According to a source who also reside around the area, the gunmen stormed her residence at around 7.40pm, shortly after she attended the Muslim evening prayer in the mosque within her residence.

Insecurity: Five travellers shot and killed by Bandits in Sokoto

Bandits suspected to be loyal to factional leader Bello Turji, have killed at least 5 people after opening fire on a vehicle conveying 24 people from Sabon Birni to Rijiyar Ladan village in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto State.
The attack reportedly occurred at Gidan Bawa junction on Monday morning. In a video provided by Rundunar Adalci, a human rights group in Sokoto State, one of the victims (name withheld) said the bandits opened fire on the vehicle and set it ablaze.

Poly lecturer Echobu Adah shot dead by Gunmen in Benue

It was gathered that a senior lecturer in the Business Administration Department of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, Mr. Echobu Adah has been killed by unknown gunmen.

The attack happened along Otukpo – Ugbokolo highway at the Eke Olengbecho-Olayenga axis of the road, in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue state.

The deceased who was gunned down by the armed men at about 5pm on Sunday was on his way to Ugbokolo from Otukpo when he ran into them.
while on his way, saw the criminals operating on the said road and he quickly drove back to mobilize security personnel on stop-and-search duty on that axis of the road to dislodge the armed men.

Bandits kill two, kidnap over 50 in Kaduna

Two persons have been killed, while “more than 50” have allegedly been abducted in an attack in Unguwan Gimbiya community of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

An eyewitness said the incident happened in the early hours of Friday December 3. The source alleged that 13 families were attacked in the operation, which lasted for about two hours.

He said; 

“They invaded Ungwan Gimbiya Community of Sabo in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state, killed two people and abducted 50.”

ISWAP invade Borno State, kidnap state Govt officials

At least five staff of Borno State Ministry of Work have been abducted by Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP).

According to NAN, the victims, who were supervising the construction of Chibok-Damboa road, were abducted on Wednesday morning, December 1, near Wovi, a remote village in Chibok Local Government Area.

A top official who confirmed the incident told the publication that one of the abducted staff, a driver, escaped unhurt.
