Police Rescue Kidnapped Twins Daughters Of Kwara Monarch

Men of the Kwara State Police Command have rescued the twin children and three staff of Owalobo of Obbo Ayegunle, Oba Samuel Adelodun, who were kidnapped on Thursday by unknown gunmen.

The children, their father’s driver, security aide and maid were kidnapped while returning from Osi to Obbo-Ayegunle in Ekiti local government area of the state. The spokesman of the state police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the rescue of the victims by the policemen.

Ondo boat accident: Four dead, 19 injured – NSCDC

Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has confirmed the death of four persons in a boat accident in Ilaje and Irele Local Government Areas recently.
19 persons also sustained serious injuries in the boat mishap.

This information was contained in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Olufemi Omole on Sunday, in Akure, the state capital.

663 people arrested as NDLEA raids Notorious drug joints in Lagos

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has intercepted various drugs with cumulative weight of more than 153, 256.876 kilograms within the last one week.

The agency also disclosed that it arrested 663 suspects in various states within the same period.

NDLEA made this known in a statement by its Director, Media and Advocacy, Mr Femi Babafemi, on Sunday in Abuja.

Abarawe was arrested alongside two other suspected kidnappers, Jacob Goto and Akpadulaha Yamoh.

Payment of gratuity and other emolument of 102 ex-Biafran soldiers who were granted Presidential pardon by President Muhammadu Buhari, has been approved by the federal government.

Minister of Defence, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (Rtd) made the announcement on Friday October 15, during the ministerial briefing to flag-off the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration at Army War College in Abuja.

Taiwan will not start a war with China but will defend itself “full on”, Defence Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng said on Thursday, amid an increase in tensions between the pair that has raised concern internationally.

Military tensions with China, which claims Taiwan as its own territory, are at their worst in more than 40 years, Chiu said last week, adding that China will be capable of mounting a “full-scale” invasion by 2025.

A man who posed as a police officer has been arrested on suspicion of trying to kidnap a young schoolgirl.

Sussex Police say a man, who was wearing a yellow hi-visbility jacket, approached a 14-year-old girl in Crawley, West Sussex before cycling off on Wednesday, October 13 at 8am.

IPOB says no sit-at-home Monday, Tuesday

The indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, has disowned a purported statement that it has directed a sit-at-home next Monday and Tuesday.

It, however, said that sit-at-home would be observed on October 21, in solidarity with its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is expected to be in court on that day.

One killed as police invade gathering of mourners in Akwa Ibom

A police officer, attached to the Eket division in Akwa Ibom State, Awana Jacob, has allegedly shot one Emmanuel Dickson to death, at a burial ceremony.

It was gathered that the officer shot the victim on the head and fled the scene, but resurfaced to confess that he had an accidental discharge.
