Anambra Election: Stop heating up the polity, APC tells APGA

The Director, Media and Publicity for Sen. Andy Uba Governorship Campaign Organisation (SAUGCO), Mr Afam Ogene, has urged the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra to stop heating up the polity.

Ogene said that the call became necessary based on what he called the false claims by APGA that the All Progressive Congress (APC) had already written results of the gubernatorial poll in 10 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state before the election commenced.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports on Saturday in Awka that SAUGCO call is contained in a release Ogene made available to newsmen.

During the debate, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Soludo, claimed the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Andy Uba did not do anything meaningful for his people when he was a senator.

Responding, Uba said he ‘mentioned’ Soludo’s name as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to Obasanjo.

Ogun APC chieftain seeks reconciliation

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Armstrong Akintunde, has urged the newly elected Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, to reconcile aggrieved members.

He gave the advice while speaking with reporters about the just concluded congress.

Akintunde said: “I urge Chief Sanusi and other executives to ensure that everyone is brought back under one umbrella in the state. Our strength truly lies in unity. So, those on the other side should come back and team up with the party and Governor Dapo Abiodun to lift Ogun State higher.”
