Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has been re-arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a 17-count charge of fraud.

The former minister was re-arraigned on Monday alongside Nenadi Usman, former minister of state for finance; Danjuma Yusuf, a former national chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) and a company, Joint-Trust Dimensions Nigeria Limited, on charges bordering on conspiracy and unlawful retention of funds.

Nigerians are currently attacking Fani-Kayode after the politician released a video of his children playing inorder to debunk his ex-wife — precious Chikwendu’s allegations.

Precious had said that one of her sons had Coronavirus and she only found out in court. She added that another has a wound on his head and she recently found out too.

In response, Fani-Kayode released a video in a bid to dispute Precious’ claim and to show that the kids are fine.

Femi Fani-Kayode has responded to Precious Chikwendu after she called on well-meaning Nigerians to speak up so she will be allowed to see her sons.
Precious had said that one of her sons had Coronavirus and she only found out in court. She added that another has a wound on his head and she recently found out too.



Precious also said that despite a court ruling that she should be allowed to see her kids, FFK has kept her from seeing them for over a year.
Femi Fani-Kayode has now released a video in a bid to dispute Precious’ claim and to show that the kids are fine.
He added that Precious has been given access to come to the house to see the kids for the last 1 year and 4 months but she has refused.

EFCC ‘rearrests’ Ex-Minister of Aviation Fani-Kayode

He was arrested at a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, and moved to a nearby EFCC office.
The former minister, who was in court over his forgery trial, was walking out after the matter was adjourned till January 24, 2021, when he was approached by an EFCC investigator.
He was subsequently arrested and moved to custody, a week after his earlier arrest.

The anti-graft agency had preferred a 17-count charge of N4.6billion money laundering against Fani-Kayode alongside a former Minister of State for Finance, Nenandi Usman.
Also charged were Yusuf Danjuma, a former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and a company, Jointrust Dimentions Nigeria Ltd.
The accused who were arraigned before Justice Mohammed Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Lagos had pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has been asked to pay a N200,000 fine by a Federal High Court in Lagos, for not making himself available for re-arraignment for alleged money laundering.



Justice Daniel Osaigor issued the order on Wednesday October 13, stating that having gone through the court’s file, he found five different letters from the former Minister seeking adjournment on same medical grounds. FFK was directed to pay the sum or risk revocation of his bail.

Precious Chikwendu the Ex- wife of former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode and a former beauty queen, took to her Instagram page to share a photo of a letter from the police inviting her for questioning at the force Criminal Investigation Department Abuja.

Precious on Wednesday in an Instagram post accused Fani-Kayode and a close friend of his, Senator Grace Bent, of using the police to intimidate her.

It was gathered that Chikwendu, has been arrested and detained by the police in the Federal Capital Territory.
