Alleged ritual: Woman escapes after son attacked, stabbed her with knife

“It was that time that the mother fell and started crying and the neighbours rescued her and separated her from the son.


A woman identified as Eziada Chika Mbachu, has escaped from her son, who stabbed her with a knife severally to allegedly use her for ritual in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
The incident was said to have happened early hours of Monday, between 7am and 8am at Heroes apartment opposite Concord hotel in Owerri.

According to Vanguard, an eyewitness said the young man was the one who invited the mum in the early hours of Monday, attacked and inflicted several knife attacks on her.

Gunmen Bomb Police Headquarters In Imo

Unknown gunmen on Thursday, January 6, stormed the Ideato South Police Station, shooting sporadically and threw Improvised Explosive Devices (I.E.D) into the station, NaijaCover Reports.

A married man has been accused of brutally beating his “side chic” who he shares a child with.



Obiechina Egbuonu allegedly attacked Grateful Uche Ofoma on December 28 for attending a friend’s wedding in Owerri without his consent.
Grateful Ofoma lives in Enugu with the son she shares with Obiechina. She reportedly had the child for Obiechima after he allegedly hid the fact that he’s married from her.

“Church invasion shows Gov Hope Uzodinma’s involvement in the insecurity in Imo” – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has alleged that the invasion of the St Peter’s Anglican Church, Umunwokwe village, in the Eziama-Obiare in Nkwerre Local Government Area last Sunday to arrest former governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu, shows that the state governor, Hope Uzodinma, was behind insecurity in the state.



Armed security men stormed the church during mass, shot sporadically into the air before whisking Nwosu away.
IPOB in a statement released by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, said if not for the fighting spirit of Nwosu’s family, the Uzodinma-led government would have blamed its militia wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN), for the “abduction of the politician.”

Imo state: How gunmen kidnap Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu from Church

Suspected gunmen on Sunday morning abducted the Former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu.
AMB gathered the incident happened at about 11: 55 am at the front of St Peter’s Anglican Church in Eziama in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo state.

An eyewitness said that the armed men numbering over 10 ten, were seen shooting sporadically in the air before they dragged Nwosu into a white bus and drove to an unknown destination.

Another Imo traditional ruler killed, body dumped in ditch days after kidnap

The abducted traditional ruler of Ihitte Ihube autonomous community in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo state, HRH Eze Paul Ogbu, has been found dead.
NAN had reported that late Eze Ogbu and the traditional ruler of Amagu Ihube, Acho Ndukwe, were kidnapped on Sunday after their palaces and vehicles were razed.



His corpse was discovered on Wednesday, December 15 and conveyed to his palace while burial plans are underway.
Ndukwe, who is also the chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area of Traditional Rulers, was rescued on Monday after security operatives raided the criminal den in Orsu Local Government Area and Uli in Ihiala LGA of Anambra state.

Mkpuru Mmiri: Youths kill man found with hard drug in Imo

Youths on Friday reportedly killed a 27 year old man, Darlington Ugboaja, who was allegedly found with a drug, Methamphetamine, popularly known as Mkpuru Mmiri at Anara market, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
The incident was said to have caused pandemonium in the market, as traders hurriedly closed and scampered for safety.

A source said the youths suspected the victim had gone to buy the drug and therefore decided to search him and found the drug in his pocket.
Angered by that, they pounced on him until he lost consciousness.

Pastor arrested, accused of kidnapping Catholic Priest in Imo State – Police

A Pastor identified as — Izuchukwu Anoloba, of Apostolic Church of Christ in Eziama Osuama, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State — is charged with kidnapping of a 45yrs Catholic priest, Reverend Father Fidelis Ekemgba.

The commissioner of Police who stated this while parading the suspect (Pastor Izuchukwu) said 13 victims were rescued among which was the Reverend Father, Ekemgba, of St Peter Catholic Parish in Umunohu, Amakohia Ihitte, Amazu in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo state.

According to the police, we were able to breakthrough based on credible intelligence on the activities of the kidnapping syndicate.
