Two persons have been crushed to death by a suspected ‘Yahoo boy’ at Ademulegun road in Ondo town, Ondo state.
Four other persons were injured in the auto crash. The Toyota vehicle driven by the suspects last weekend was set ablaze by youths in the town after he fled the scene.
It was gathered that the crash reportedly occurred at about 6:30 pm and it involved a Toyota Muscle car driven by a suspected Yahoo boy and a Tricycle. The suspect was driving along with Akure garage at high speed when he allegedly crushed the passengers in the tricycle which was in motion.
Amotekun arrest 18 bandits with over 500 weapons. Days after soldiers withdrew from checkpoints and highways within Ondo State, men of the State’s Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun Corps have arrested suspected bandits allegedly planning to invade the state.
The suspected bandits, 18 in number were arrested in Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of the State.
Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has confirmed the death of four persons in a boat accident in Ilaje and Irele Local Government Areas recently. 19 persons also sustained serious injuries in the boat mishap.
This information was contained in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Olufemi Omole on Sunday, in Akure, the state capital.
17-year old boy, Samuel Lucky Akpan, has been picked up by men of the Ondo State Security Network codenamed Amotekun Corps for allegedly kidnapping a four-year-old child for the purpose of selling him for N200,000.
Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami has arrested five persons following the arrest of Odetola who was last Saturday nabbed with a sack containing human parts while riding a commercial motorcycle to Ifetedo.
The police sources said the patrol team stopped the motorcyclist, who was conveying one of the suspects, Opeyemi Odetola, with a big sack containing human parts from Ondo to Ifetedo town in Osun State.
