Dear God, please make me the President of Nigeria in 2023 so I can wipe away the tears of my people. Thank you Lord for answering my prayer.
Actor Yul Edochie made this prayer request while marking his 40th birth anniversary today, January 7th, 2022. He said his request happens to be his last birthday wish as he turns 40 years
It would be vividly recalled that on 14th July 2017, Yul Edochie declared his intention to run for Governor of Anambra State. This declaration was made in anticipation of a Not Too Young To Run Bill passed by the senate of the federal government of Nigeria.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday October 2, announced that he is retiring from politics.
Pirior to the announcement, Duterte had been expected to run for vice president. He is not eligible to run again for president as the constitution sets a single-six-year term limit for the president.
Former Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who fought for independence from France, reconciled his conflict-ravaged nation and was then ousted amid pro-democracy protests in 2019 after two decades in power, has died at age 84, state television announced Friday.
The incident happened during prayers at the Grand Mosque in the capital Bamako to mark the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha.
“Attempted stabbing attack against the President of the Transition, Colonel Assimi Goita at the Grande Mosque of Bamako. The attacker was immediately subdued by close security. Investigations are ongoing,” the presidency said in a statement posted on its official Twitter account.
Colonel Assimi Goita — the leader of two coups in nine months in Mali — was sworn in as transitional president on June 7.
Goita was initially interim vice president after leading the coup last August that overthrew President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.
In May, he ordered the arrests of President Bah Ndaw and Prime Minister Moctar Ouane who shortly resigned while in detention. The duo were later released.
In the same month, Mali’s constitutional court declared Goita to be the new interim president.
The court said in its ruling that Goita should fill the vacancy left by Ndaw’s resignation “to lead the transition process to its conclusion” and carry the title of “president of the transition, head of state”.
The ruling set Mali on a collision course with the 15-member Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which insisted that the transition, which is due to end with elections in February, remain civilian-led.
The African Union (AU) also suspended the west African country in response to the military coup.
The AU called for “an unimpeded, transparent and swift return to the civilian-led transition … failing which, the Council will not hesitate to impose targeted sanctions,” the AU’s Peace and Security Council said.
Mali’s neighbors and international powers feared the revolt will jeopardize a commitment to hold a presidential election in February, and undermine a regional fight against Islamist militants, some of which are based in Mali’s desert north.
Actress Ada Ameh has called out actor Yomi Fabiyi over his controversial new movie with a storyline he was accused of taking from Baba Ijesha’s rape saga and using real names of those involved in the case.
Adah Ameh described Yomi Fabiyi as a self-centered and wicked man who will reap same wickedness she claims he sows.
She further stated that the filmmaker lacks family values and released the movie just for fame. Insisting that he is supposed to be “mended” (beaten) for his action, the actress went on to pray that none of Yomi Fabiyi’s children and those of the actors in the movie experience molestation.
It is a Shame, don’t because of money, cheap fame do the wrong things!!! all the actor’s on that movie should may your children not be victims you all failed before you started @realyomifabiyi you will meet your Waterloo
A horrific video making the rounds online shows a man with a mutilated penis being paraded by IPOB supporters for working with the government against IPOB.
In the extremely graphic video, the man, whose hands are tied to a piece of wood, is seen sitting on the sandy floor. His penis had been mutilated and blood from his severed male member is seen seeping into the sand.
A male voice is heard revealing what led to the man being subjected to such inhumane torture.
According to the voice of the IPOB supporter, the man, from Orsu, Imo state, is a saboteur – a tag given to Igbos who do not support IPOB and speak against the activities of some of its members.
The voice said that the man is a politician working with the Hope Uzodinma government as an informant to expose IPOB members, after which he gets paid by the Nigerian government.
The IPOB supporter also said the man denied an airstrike by the Nigerian military happened in Orsu.
He was accused of being a “slave to the Fulani” who is selling his people and fighting against his people.
Towards the end of the video, the voice said this is the last time the man would be a saboteur, suggesting the man will be executed after the video.
Others were also warned that they will meet the same end if they toe the same line.
According to Governor Orton, Mr President is the one creating insecurity in the country, by supporting Fulanis to take over this Country.
He also claimed that if the President decides to take a stand today, insecurity in the country will be a thing of the past. He also accused the advisers in the Presidency of causing Buhari the problems he is facing.
In his words
”Right now, there is nothing in this country under this APC that we can say that they are getting it right. Is it security? How can Northern governors, Southern governors, National Economic Council, come out with a policy that will stop the killings that are going on in this country and the presidency will say that no, it will not accept that it must be open grazing?
Where are you going to do open grazing? Is it in Vandeikya, or in Guma or Otukpo, or in Makurdi, or where without them encroaching on somebody’s farm? I think those who are advising Mr. President are the ones creating problems for him. And he needs to think twice.
The national economic council is a council made up of all the 36 state governors of this country. If they sit together and resolve, under the chairmanship of the Vice President, why should you reverse that? Why should he allow an appointed person who has not worn councilorship election in his life to come and reverse what 36 governors who are elected by the people have done? That is not right. So, I’ll repeat again that Mr. President is the one creating insecurity in this country. The day that he says let’s solve this insecurity problem. that problem will be solved. That is the truth. Because like this one on open grazing that he is insisting, it will only succeed in bringing crisis and chaos and lawlessness because most of us, I won’t speak for other people but in Benue, there is no room for accepting open grazing. And no room to allow them to talk about reviewing land use act. Land use act is a constitutional matter and before it is reviewed, it will come to
the states. And Benue, even without the review, is saying no.
We are not going to allow that review. Land still remains under the custody of the state governors on behalf of their people. Security that we were promised in 2015 is not there.
Talk about corruption, we have never seen worst corruption like what we are seeing today in this APC led government. Where is that Minister that the EFCC Chairman apprehended for buying property for 37 million dollars and remitting 20million dollars? Where did she get that kind of money if not from government? Look at what is happening in the petroleum industry? Stealing all over the place.
Look at members of the federal executive council who had known EFCC cases that amounted to billions. Today, because they are in the ruling party, their sins are forgiven. But if somebody steals a chicken you will go and jail that person. Is that justice? That is not Justice. Where is
the electricity that we were promised in 2015? Corruption all over the place. And they go after people without any form of corruption. In Benue, everyday, EFCC are on the neck of my servants. They are there all over the place. But they have not found anything and we have not done anything.
Why can’t they get those ministers who are hiding because if they remain in any other place, EFCC will apprehend them? I want to tell them that APC will not remain there forever. PDP was there before. But one day, it came that PDP was no more. And today, it’s APC. They will not remain there forever. And all these things they are doing, when the day of reckoning comes, all of them will be apprehended. Nobody will escape justice. Yes, they can have their way, but one day, when God decides that this is the day, nobody will escape. Many days are for the thief but one day is for the owner.
Let this be known to APCgovernment that what they are doing, going about to intimidate people to join them, I have refused to join APC. I remain in PDP and I remain with my people and continue to work with them and I will continue to ensure that the mistake that PDP made before are corrected so that together we can move this country forward.
Today, APC has failed this nation. All that they are doing is to intimidate and coerce people and try to blackmail some people to let it look as if they’re saints, they are not saints. They are all evil agenda. So, Please, let no one be deceived. There is no u-turn in what we are doing in Benue State. We can never do u-turn anyhow.”
